This macro applies simplified motion blur calculating its power and direction from a path animation. You can use 2D tracking data as the source of motion.
It doesn't support zooming and rotation, but it's faster than optical flow based motion blur and in some cases produces better quality.
Unlike the standard motion blur in Fusion, DirectionalBlurFromPath always produces straight blurring, not shaped to the animation path.

Just connect the "Animated Offset" parameter to the center of your animated transform, tracker, expression etc.

Node Inputs

  • Input Image:Node_Input_Gold.gif
    Source image
    EffectMask Image:Node_Input_Lavender.gif‎
Defines the areas where the effect is applied

Controls Tab

  • Animated Offset
The control to be connected to your animation.
    Shutter Angle
Defines the power of the motion blur.
    Pre-Gamma / Post-Gamma
Switches gamma treatment for sRGB images on and off.
    Image Gamma
Adjusts the gamma compensation effect (used with Pre-Gamma / Post-Gamma). This parameter exaggerates the highlights, so that they visually dominate over shadows in blurred areas, like in real footage with blur.
    Set Color Depth
Sets the internal color bit depth. It's recommended to use 32bit float with Pre-Gamma / Post-Gamma switched on.
