Shake Tools and their Fusion equivalents

Many Shake tools have equivalents in Fusion. However, many Fusion tools combine the functions of multiple Shake tools into one, and can be more efficient when used this way rather than a straight 1:1 duplication of each individual Shake tool. Taking the time to learn the capabilities of Fusion's toolset will pay dividends in faster comp setup and rendering.

For other Shake tools, the converse is true, and subfeatures of multiple Fusion tools may need to be used to duplicate the effect of a single Shake tool. Again, learning Fusion's toolset may help you to design your comp to efficiently utilise the features that are there.

Alternatively, tools with common settings may be saved as a .setting file (or as the default), or dragged to a Bin window for greater availability. Multiple tools may be selected and dragged to the Bin too, with or without being Grouped, or a Macro can be created from them to expose specific controls.

Explanation of the symbols

Image:Tick.png : A similar tool exists in Fusion

Image:Plus.png : Similar tool in Fusion which is superior to its Shake counterpart because of more/better functionality

Image:Minus.png : Similar tool in Fusion which is inferior to its Shake counterpart because of less/worse functionality

Image:Macro.png : A macro exists that provides similar abilites

Image:Workaround.png : No similar tool in Fusion, but one or more workarounds

Image:Cross.png : No similar tool in Fusion, and no easy or obvious workaround

Image:Unknown.png : Not enough is known to say. Suggestions?
When noted that there is a free krokodov plug in, it should be noted that the free version does not work in Floating point color.

It is hight subjective to say the channels boolean is superior to the reorder. They are different tools with different thought processes. Channels boolean is like having a reorder, copy, layers all in one. This can be good or bad depending on how you like to build your trees.
