Eyeon:Manual/Fusion 6/Stereo Mix
From VFXPedia
[ Main Manual Page ]
The StereoMix tool is used to assign independent materials to the left eye and the right eye renderings of an object. This is commonly used when applying stereographic reflections and refractions using separate maps.
When a scene is viewed or rendered in stereo, the materials attached to the left and right inputs are used for the left and right eye's views, respectively. When rendering in mono, the tool acts as a switcher. When the Renderer 3D tool's eye option is set to produce a mono or left eye rendering, only the left material will be used. When the right eye option is selected, the right material will be used instead.
External Inputs
- StereoMix.LeftMaterial
- [ orange, required ] This input will accept a 2D image or a 3D material to be used as the material for the left eye rendering. If a 2D image is used it will be converted to a diffuse texture map using the basic material type.
- StereoMix.RightMaterial
- [ green, required ] This input will accept a 2D image or a 3D material to be used as the material for the right eye rendering. If a 2D image is used it will be converted to a diffuse texture map using the basic material type.
While the inputs can be either 2D images or 3D materials, the output will always be a material.
Controls
This option will swap the both inputs of the tool.
This slider sets the numeric identifier assigned to this material. This value will be rendered into the MatID auxiliary channel if the according option is enabled in the renderer.
