Splines Preferences

Autosmooth

Automagically smooths out any newly created points or keyframes on the splines selected in this dialogue. This is valid for both animation splines as well as masks.

Spline

Creates smooth points on Bezier spline modifiers.

B-Spline

Creates smooth points on b-spline modifiers.

Polylines

Creates smooth points on Bezier spline polylines.

B-Spline Polylines

Creates smooth points on B-Spline polylines.

LUTs

Creates smooth points on LUT splines.

Paths

Creates smooth points on Motion Path.

Mesh

Creates smooth points on Meshes when adding a grid tool.

B-Spline modifier degree

Quadratic

Creates a B-Spline modifier of second degree

Cubic

Creates a B-Spline modifier of third degree

B-Spline polyline degree

Quadratic

Creates a B-Spline polyline of second degree

Cubic

Creates a B-Spline polyline of third degree

Tracker Path points visibility

Hide

After creating a tracker, tracker points will be hidden in the view.

Show always

After creating a tracker, tracker points will be displayed in the view.

Show on hover

After creating a tracker, tracker points will only be displayed if the mouse cursor is hovering over a point.

Tracker Path

Bezier Polyline

After a tracker is created, the resulting tracker path will be a Bezier polyline.

B-Spline Polyline

After a tracker is created, the resulting tracker path will be a B-Spline polyline.

XY Splines

After a tracker is created, the resulting tracker path will be a XYPath.

PolyLine EditMode on done

Insert and modify

After closing a polyline, the polyline edit mode will be switched to 'Insert and Modify'. Existing points can be modified by clicking on them and new points can be created by clicking anywhere on the Polyline where there are no points.

Modify only

After closing a polyline, the polyline edit mode will be switched to 'Modify Only'. Only existing points can be modified by clicking on them. No new points will be created in this mode.

Allow selection of points from multiple polylines

Enables selecting and editing points from multiple polylines at the same time. When deactivated, only the currently active Polyline can be modified.
