VFXPedia:Copyrights
From VFXPedia
Since the nature of a wiki is collaborative, it is important to consider the copyright of materials posted to this site. Specifically, there are two questions you should ask - "What kind of content can I post to VFXPedia" and "What happens to content I post to VFXPedia"
What kind of content can I post to VFXPedia?
VFXPedia welcomes contributions from anyone assigned an account by our administrators. Because we wish the content on this site to be the result of collaboration between members of eyeon Software and the general public, some restrictions have to be placed on the type of content which can be posted on this site.
Under no circumstances may any contributor add content which is currently under copyright by another party to the VFXPedia without the express permission of the copyright holder. Any material suspected or known to be stolen from copyrighted sources will be removed from VFXPedia as soon as administrators become aware of it's existence.
We welcome all content that resides within the public domain according to the laws of Canada, or is an original work by the contributor.
What happens to content I post to VFXPedia?
All material posted to VFXPedia.com becomes editable by anyone who has been provided an account on VFXPedia. Currently that comprises employees of eyeon Software, and individuals selected by eyeon Software. By submitting the content to this site you agree to release that content from any copyright protections or licenses that would prevent such editing to occur.
As of the writing of this document, VFXPedia is exploring several models of licensing to cover the text and content added to this site. Candidates include the GNU Free Documentation License ( http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html ) and the Creative Commons 2.5 Attribution ( http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/ ). Until a selection has been made, all content on this site, including contributions made by the public, must be considered copyright eyeon Software Inc, 2006.
