Most users think that just sending in the crash logs when fusion crashes is enough. A crash dump is like giving the developers a picture of the scene of an accident. We will be able to see the car lost control and crashed. Without a witness to tell us that the neighbour’s cat was running across the street, we may not be able to figure out why the sports car ended up split in two around the tree.

We prefer to receive information about what you were doing in the application at the time of the crash. This gives us more of an insight to the code path that may be affecting the performance of Fusion.

If you have the exception handler showing up on a render node, please check your log files on the manager to figure out what comp was rendering and even what frame the machine was assigned. Send us the specified comp with the crash logs.
