Stereoscopic
All stereoscopic features are fully integrated into Fusions 3D-environment. Stereoscopic images can be created using a single camera, which supports eye separation and convergence distance, and a Renderer tool for the (virtual) left and right eye. Fusion supports several modi for displaying the 3D-scene in stereo. Have a look at the Anaglyph tool documentation for more details. Furthermore it is possible to combine two different cameras for a stereo camera rig, or assign different materials for the object when viewed through the left or right camera.
The stereo functionality is also available when working interactively with the scene. It is possibel to examine objects, materials and lights in stereo without having a camera or renderer.
Stereo Camera
There are two ways to setup a stereoscopic camera. The common way is to simply add a Camera tool and adjust the eye separation and convergence distance parameters.
The other way is to connect another camera to the "RightStereoCamera" input port of the camera tool. When viewing the scene throug the original camera or rendering, the connected camera is used for creating the right eye content.
Stereo Materials
Using the Stereo Mix Material tool, it is possible to assign different materials "per eye".
