3D Projections in Fusion 5.3 and earlier are handled as light, rather than materials. This prevents the projected alpha from being used to clip the geometry. The Projection Alpha Workaround tool (PAW) is an unofficial plugin released by eyeon Software which catches the projected light converts it into a diffuse color for the objects in the scene. This makes the alpha channel of the projection much more useful. The limitation of this tool (and the reason it is labeled a workaround rather than a native tool) is that the PAW tool interferes with lighting of the geometry it affects. This makes it impossible to use other lights to affect the geometry affected by the scene. This tool can be downloaded from the Downloads/Updates part of the eyeon website. |

Use this checkbox to enable or disable the tool.
The color accumulation mode is used to control how the PAW tool will combine the light from multiple projectors. It will have no affect on the results when only one projector is in the scene. This control is designed to work with the Software renderer, and will have no affect when using the OpenGL renderer.

The accumulation threshold can be used to exclude certain low values from the accumulation calculation. For example, when using the median accumulation mode, a threshold of 0.01 would exclude any pixel with a value of less than 0.01 from the median calculation.

Tips for Paw 3D (edit)
You have to add Paw3D after your object or right before the render node. It won't work if you put Paw3D next to the projector3D. --Ata 06:04, 5 December 2008 (CST)
