Installing Fusion
Upgrading
The installer for Fusion 5 will generally not overwrite previous major versions of Fusion. A new, separate installation should be created in a fresh directory. eyeon Software strongly suggests maintaining older versions of Fusion until it is certain that they are no longer required. Please note that Fusion 5 cannot load or import projects created in Fusion 4 or earlier.
Before You Begin
- Make sure that the installation is from an account with administrative privileges.
- Exit all other running programs.
- Connect the hardware lock to the parallel or USB port on the computer.
Performing The Installation
From CD or DVD
- Insert into the drive the CDROM or DVD-ROM that came with the software. If autorun is enabled, the installer will start automatically. Otherwise, explore the contents of the DVD with a file browser, and double-click on setup.exe to start the installer.
From a web based download
- Locate the downloaded executable with the operating systems file browser and double click on it to start the installer.
After completing the installation, please restart the computer. This is necessary for a proper installation.
Before using Fusion for the first time, please register to obtain a license file.
