In rare cases, you might find that Fusion has hung, and the UI is unresponsive. If Task Manager shows that the CPU, hard drive or network is active, then Fusion is likely just busy, and the UI will probably be restored shortly. Pressing the ESC key will often cancel whatever Fusion is doing, and return control more quickly.

If pressing ESC does nothing and you've waited a few minutes, or if the CPU is completely idle, it is possible to take a "snapshot" of Fusion that can be sent in to eyeon for analysis. This can easily be done by starting a command prompt, changing to Fusion's directory, and typing:

eyeonscript -d

This will locate the Fusion process and invoke the Exception Handler to "dump" the snapshot of Fusion's current state. It will then offer to mail in the snapshot to eyeon automatically, or alternatively they can be mailed manually. The snapshot files can be found as described here.

Snapshot dumps can tell eyeon what Fusion was doing when it hung, and can sometimes provide clues as to how it got into that state. However, it is recommended that further details be included to clarify what happened - the comp it was working on would be ideal, and a few notes on what was done leading up to the hang.
