Settings and Macros/GradientSlice Description

GradientSlice
Fusion 5's 2D and 3D Histogram viewers also have the ability to display gradients. The only tool that outputs a gradient is the FromImage modifier, so this macro uses that (with a Background tool to host it) to create a basic Gradient Slice tool, allowing image edge colour profiles to be easily viewed.
To use this tool, connect its source input to any image tool, and drag it into a view. Its output is actually a Gradient, not an Image, so you will not be able to connect to other tools.
- Inputs
- Start, End
- Crosshairs that define the cross-section line on the image to examine.
- Image to scan
- Connection to an image tool for the source image.
- Out of image color
- This sets what colour will be shown in the histogram when the cross-section line goes off the bounds of the image.
- Number of sample steps
- Increase this to get a more detailed cross-section.
