Cluster Preferences
Clustering allows to use all available workstations, rendernodes or parts thereof to render frames and send them to your local cache while you're still working interactively on your comp. Based on the complexity of your comp this can provide major speed ups and faster playback. This can be particularly useful in client-attended sessions where every minute counts.
The Cluster Preferences configure settings and defaults for tool clustering. For details on Clustering, see the Network Rendering chapter of this manual.
Slave Groups To Render With
- Available Groups
This list control shows all of the groups available for network rendered clustering. These classes define which machines are used for when a cluster render is sent to the render manager. See the Network Rendering chapter for details.
- Selected Groups
This edit box displays a list of the Selected Groups. Type a list of groups manually into this control, as well as selecting them from the list above.
Frames To Render
- Entire Render Range/Side Frames
Select one of these two radio buttons to make clustering render either the entire Render Range from start to finish, or frames to either side of the current time.
- Render X Frames Around The Current Time
If Side Frames is enabled, this control can be edited to select the number of frames around the Current Time that will be cluster-rendered.
