Hello Everyone, how's it going?
I thought I'd try my luck and see if I can write a very simple fuse over the weekend.
I opened up the VFXpedia null fuse in Wordpad++,
Sat there for an hour, to figure out that...
The custom tool was made by Bryan Midgardsormr over in this topic
I just thought it would be fun to try to make a fuse, but I don't know where to start(besides VFXpedia).
I bet there are a lot of people here who might want to start writing fuses so I thought it might be interesting to...

intelligent machine , this looks cool, I've got to try this out.

One think i noticed is, at line 100 is there a way to make the sign float?
I tried fsign , but that doesn't seem to work.
I think that may be the compatibility issue.

This is a little different than what I originally had in mind.
This looks more like a round trip color grading tool.

One thing I thought to add to version 2, is something like Pop from Red Giant's Colorista
It's a really cool effect, but I couldn't find anything...

Hi,

sitting around at home(which to be honest is not much of a change from normal work life) I've been watching various stuff. I saw this video about creating interesting backgrounds.

In this he uses a tool call JSplacement which is really good, but it involves going into another program, exporting and perhaps resizing - it also doesn't let you animate the elements once created(except for translation etc of the image itself).

Having time on my hands I started working on a fuse that does...

Greebler2 - just when you thought it was safe to greeb in the fusion
Greebler is back - and it's never even been here before(if anyone gets that one I will be impressed)

In fact it's just version 0.5. Much much simpler, to get complex effects just merge etc greeblers together.(if you want lines make sure solid is off and put sides to 2 - nothing will appear if you have solid and 2 sides)

Here a very basic but useful macro.
Let's say you need to sample a specific part of your image and see the values of your RGBA.
this macro does just that.

Is there a way to limit the values in the text to 4 decimals?

Hello guys,
I want to present a comp that could help those who work with VR. It is intended to generate VR images from 3D scenes, created inside Fusion or imported from other applications. This comp was already used in an experimental VR film production on an university project (USP - Brazil).
Although Reactor already hosts a sophisticated VR solution (Karta VR), maybe WSL community would like to have a second way to deal with 3D and VR.
By the way, I´m relative new in Fusion (about 5 years)...

Hi,

been working on a fuse to help with some motion graphics things. It's basically just a souped up duplicator, it has 3 options, grid, linear and radial, with various settings for each. It inherits a lot of the bits of the duplicate fuse(some of which may or may not do anything, I'm not entirely sure). I've played around with a few paramaters and you can get some cool looking things. To be honest not sure what you can do with it but there seems to be quite a lot of potential

Inspired by jcouritas in this topic
I decided to have a look into the DasGrain Gizmo
I have to say I don't really know what's going on inside that Tool but it gave me an idea to develop a similar one.
It's a very simplified one but I have to say that after a bit of testing it seems to be doing what it should be supposed to.

Introduction to Krokodove Shapes

The Shapes system in Krokodove is a way to create custom 2d vector objects that can be styled and manipulated with other Shape tools. Hi everyone, How are you?

I found this cool shader on
It replicates Fractal Noise from After Effects
I saw that the syntax looks a little similar to DCTL,
so I thought I could maybe write a fuse to bring the power of Fractal Noise to Fusion.

Here is what I have so far, the control panel looks fine,
but I can't figure out how to make this kernel work.
I know I can't just paste an OpenGL shader into a fuse and expect it to work,
but I don't what needs to be changed to make it work.

Well, a caveat to that: It works in Resolve; I don't recall that the DCTL has ever run properly in Fusion standalone. Nor did the gain fuse we used as a model.

Pixels and percentages are boring! How about cropping with points? We only need two diagonal points to define a rectangle which makes for a very simple tool.

This tool is the cream of the crop.

Step1: disable cropping, and position the points at opposite corners of the area you wish to crop.

Step2: enable cropping.

This is nice. I agree about the disable checkbox. Perhaps a reverse of this would be slightly more intuitive (Enable with default unchecked and expressions that start with: iif(Enable==1 )
It would also be nice if there was a simple way to show/hide the view controls based on the state of that checkbox.
