Fresh14 Skin

#1

Post by Tilt » Mon Aug 18, 2014 12:36 pm

I have updated my Fresh14 skin for Fusion.

Image

Download here and place it into your Fusion\Skins directory. Then go to Preferences -> Global -> Appearance and move "Fresh14" from the left list to the right one (below the Fusion 6.1 entry that is already there).

Credits for the icons: http://www.icons8.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My skin doesn't override everything, so it needs to be applied on top of Fusion 6.1... If you're using other additional skins, things might get random :-)

Changes in the latest update:
  • replaces toolbar icons (new/copy/paste... those ones)
  • icons for file requester dialog
PS: testing this as an announce-type topic. Let's see what happens :)

The latest version is even better! I love it. It is my default skin too since the release.

Helo,

just install Blackmagic Fusion 7.5 and find out that there is no option to switch skin. :?
In Preferences/Globals they remove Appearance tab. In Skins folder only Fu61.fuskin.
May be trying unify their own (future) GUI look.

You could probably hack the skin :-) It's a zip file with a different extension. I'll test this once I have installed 7.5 myself.

A Mac version is probably high on BMD's list (almost every twitter reply to their announcement was "why no Mac version?") which would be really hard without a GUI rewrite, so I think the whole GUI won't look like that for much longer anyways...

Alright folks, here it is: Fresh14 for Blackmagic Design Fusion 7.5 :-)
  • Download Fu61hack.zip and copy it to Fusion's skin directory. By default this should be c:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\Fusion\Skins\ and it should already contain Fu61.fuskin
  • Rename Fu61.fuskin to something else so you can revert everything if necessary. For example Fu61original.fuskin.
  • Rename Fu61hack.zip to Fu61.fuskin
  • Restart Fusion.
Windows will probably ask you about Admin access several times.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Ahh, works great! Thanks!

You can now have attachments with a .fuskin extension as well. Especially for you, Tilt :)
