Copy Text+ text into another Text+

Hey guys, just a quick one,

I'm making some dynamic callouts/titles and am using two Text+ nodes, one as a mask and one as the main source of text.

I'm new to expressions within Fusion, and was wondering if I could link the two text fields together so that I can update Text1, and Text2 will automatically receive Text1's new text. This'll save me typing everything out twice :D

Thanks

Do also read the manual on SimpleExpressions. Page 478 (Fu16 - press F1), it's only three pages.

That's perfect, thank you. I appreciate the little video too.

I searched everywhere but the manual - typical!

Can you elaborate on this? Depending on your use case, you can just use the output of the Text+ node two times by branching. The alpha of the text can be used as a mask throughout your comp.

And that's where text modifier fuses come in handy :)

Hi,

you could just instance the text+ node, and then you can de-instance anything that needs to be different. This was something that I didn't know about until relatively recently.
