opening 'view' in preferences in linux explodes fusion -IF...

Fusion version:
fusion studio v8 build 10
OS and version:
Linux cent os 7
Additional relevant system info:

Description of the bug:
if you have no comp open, preferences appears safe to navigate but if you have a comp open and go into preferences and choose 'view' fusion instantly crashes. i am trying to just find the place to set the clipping plane in a 3D view window but so far fusion just keeps exploding on me
Severity (Trivial, Minor, Major, Critical)
i consider this critical, being able to set preferences while having a specific comp open is a bit of a help.
Steps to reproduce:
open a comp. go to preferences, select 'view'
Please, if possible, provide a Fusion setup to help demonstrate the behaviour, either as an attachment or between code tags:

Confirming this as fixed in 9.0.2 - can't reproduce this myself, and haven't ever seen or heard another instance of this...
