expression pick whip in Linux version

Fusion version: 8.2 studio

OS and version: linux Cent OS 6.7

Additional relevant system info:

Description of the bug: when dragging the pick whip to create your expression, the entire screen goes black. this obscures everything and makes it very impossible to see what you are wanting to drop the pick whip onto. after a few attempts it is sometimes possible to guess where to drop it, but in the windows version this does not happen, you can just see where you're going.
-having to 'guess where to drop it in the dark' is not so ideal :)

Severity (Trivial, Minor, Major, Critical) Minor but does affect user friendliness

Steps to reproduce: use the linux version, add a tool add expression field, use pick whip to something, anything.

Please, if possible, provide a Fusion setup to help demonstrate the behaviour, either as an attachment or between

Code: Select all

I can confirm this on Ubuntu, running 8.2 build 9.

Thanks.

Currently available Linux version is 8.2 build 2 (lower build number than before) and I can confirm that 8.2b2 has this problem too (Ubuntu 16.04).

Build 9 was the beta, build 2 is release.

Interesting way of keeping track :geek:

This is typically a desktop compositing (or lack of) issue.
