Python not working on linux, F8.2 build 2

Fusion version:
Fusion 8.2 build 2

OS and version:
Linux Xubuntu 15.10

Additional relevant system info:

Description of the bug:
Comp scripts dont show up in menu, only LUA files, Can't switch to py2 or py3 in console. Both options grayed out in prefs. Python2.7 is installed by default on this distro, works in the shell, Nuke and Houdini. Its installed at the default location of /usr/bin/python2.7

Note that this all works on my osx and win boxes. But not on linux.

Is there a special env variable fusion needs to read to specify a python build ?

Severity (Trivial, Minor, Major, Critical)
Major.

Steps to reproduce:
Install xubuntu 15.10 I suppose.

Please, if possible, provide a Fusion setup to help demonstrate the behaviour, either as an attachment or between [code] tags:

Nope. Still can't use python in Fusion on Ubuntu.

F16 beta 24 build 24, Nope. On ubuntu based distros Fusion cannot seem to find the python interpreters. Even when they are explicitly set with env vars. All other python compatible tools find the right ones tho. (nuke, houdini, gaffer etc)

Thats a no from me dawg.
