This fuse creates a hexagon tile pattern and has controls for size, color and border width.

Thanks Michael! Yes, that's the idea. It would help to put the contents of the Atom file in a code block in the submission post, as a tip. :)

There's a typo in the atom filename: com.MichaelVorberg.Heaxgon2.atom

The typo is also in the atom file itself (I've fixed it for the topic title).

One of the guidelines (that I need to add) is to not put version numbers in the Fuse names itself. Which is another point of confusion because the version number stated in the Atom file is 1.0, but the Fuse is named Hexagon_V02 (the V implies a version number?).

Perhaps you could name it Hexagon2 (like the Atom - consistency is key :)), Hexagon_II, or HexagonTiles or however else you could differentiate it from the other Hexagon Fuse that is already in Reactor - I believe that one is yours, too ?

All else looks good! :cheer:

Would you have some screenshots of what it generates? I haven't had the time to install and test and there's no feedback here yet. Would love to see what it does (being a visual person and all... ;))

Your dir structure inside the zip file isn't correct; there is no Fuses directory. Please put the Fuse in Fuses/Creator/HexagonTiles.fuse. Please keep the .fuse extension lowercase.

Thanks!

You have HexagonTiles.fuse in both the Fuses and the Fuses/Creator directories... :)

Also FYI - feel free to use spaces in the Author field of an Atom, and the Version field can hold a float value, i.e. 1.0.

Sweet! Thanks @pingking, I'll put it through the ingestion pipe :)

Edit - argh, nope, found one last issue:

Code: Select all

	Deploy = {
		"Fuses/HexagonTiles.Fuse",
	},

Should be lowercase .fuse.

After that it's good to go :)

From what I can tell, the X and Y offset work interactively, and work with the Proxy turned on, but in full mode, the hexagons seem to pop back to their original position, no matter where you move things.
( Also, as a side note, it would be nice to be able to offset where the scaling origin is. It seems to be the lower left corner, which makes it hard to line up with things.) Other than that, great tool!

EDIT: Actually the offset works, but I think the auto proxy gives you wrong info, so it throws you off when moving things..
