A very simple one this time.
A heat distortion filter, perlin noise based, made into a handy little macro.
here you can find a small introduction to the tool itself

and here the Atom.

And submitted! Thanks! :cheer:

The Macro was in the wrong folder (Filter), so I adjusted it to the one specified in the Atom (Effect).

9/10 for the submission ;)

Always run your Atom through Atomizer for a sanity check and press that refresh button. If there is a mismatch you'll see the Deploy fields update.

PS. Fu9 users don't have clickable URLs so for them that YouTube link won't work that way...

I just realised that somehow the macro makes F9 crash. That's very odd. I'm investigating what's happening. The issue seems to be the depth blur node I'm using...

Added in 13 minutes 32 seconds:
Ok, Bug fixed.
I don't know how it works now... I changed the version to 1.1 and also changed the date to 2020/1/18... it's ok?

10/10 for this submission! :D

If you ever want to get 11/10, come up with a way to get rid of the .DS_Store crap that Apple puts everywhere

Hahaha :D

By the way, I really like your thinking with the animation controls in the Macro. That's a clever way to go about it, intuitive and fast, very nice!

☺️ thanks! Maybe I could have used a custom tool instead of the expression modifier. 😅

A major bug fixing. Just one node left out of the macro.

Here a little update.
In this new release the tool automatically set the pixel aspect from the input.

Cheers!

Seems that the expressions that makes the auto pixel aspect possible can cause the comp to break:
