templates in the edit page

i just looked around and saw that the text templates in the edit page are just simple macros which can be modified or you can add you're own macros to that folder and have them availible in the edit page

i guess some of you can make something usefull out of this

Yeah, it's pretty cool. You can bring in complex comps that way & just use the unpack macro trick ( change it to a GroupOperator )
Annnnd you can then drag Comps to the Timeline without using footage in the Edit page.

Hi Dunn.

You could also just copy the raw nodes from the Nodes view into your clipboard and then paste them into a text file with the .settings extension. No need to wrap the content into a GroupOperator. :)

This post explains the "Templates" filepath locations where you would copy your macro .setting files into. Then you can have them accessible in the Edit and Fusion pages via Effects Library interface:
