Can I record video with Resolve? (FaceTime camera MacBook)

Hi,

I would want to know if this is possible. Didn't find a clear answer on this yet.

I have the MacBook 15" Retina Mid 2012.

I am also trying to figure out right now what it's resolution and FPS is of my FaceTime camera, so maybe if you guys also have an answer regarding that, i would like to know. :)

Thanks!

Probably you can record a video with your photobooth app, then save it and import to Resolve. Try it out.

Resolve is post-production software. With emphasis on the "post". That is, it's not designed for capturing footage, only for modifying it once you have it.

If by "video" you mean professional SDI signal the answer is yes. Resolve can capture video from tape or live sources. But you also need a Blackmagic Video IO card.

If you want to capture your webcam output, the answer is no.
