Can you open Resolve's Video Collage in the fusion tab?

#1

Post by lenny87 »

Hi there
Does anybody know if you can open Resolve's Video collage [Effects library --> Open FX] into the fusion tab?

I want to create a video collage with 5 tiles, but with all different sizes and dimensions. I can't find a way to do it in the effects tab from the inspector in resolve.

So I thought maybe there is a way to open this Video collage effect into the Fusion Tab.

Anybody has experiences with this?
Thx in front

I don't think it's possible, but I haven't tried either. It should be possible to set it up from the inspector though. There's a big section dedicated to this in the 'what's new in Resolve' document that comes with the latest release. I found it to be quite complicated, but since I hardly ever have to do something like this, I didn't pay too much attention to it.

Hello

Yes, you can use the video collage inside fusion.

Stack your clips as normal on the timeline and then select them, right-click and select new fusion clip.

Then go to the fusion page, open the effects library and find the video collage and add it to the node tree.

You can either set up 1 and then copy and paste instance or have individual ones, very powerful.

Contact me if you need any help.

Was asked to show how I make these clips, so I thought I'd share over here too
