[Macro][Script] Tracker Plus

#1

Post by SecondMan » Tue Feb 21, 2017 4:27 pm

Finally found a bit of time to clean up some cobbled together code and release Tracker Plus for Fusion 8 :cheer:

TrackerPlus.PNG
Tracker Plus is a Tracker node with added functionality:
  • tracking of single frames forward and backward
  • setting and changing a reference frame (!)
  • exporting linked or baked Transform nodes from the Tracker
There is more functionality planned beyond this initial release, but it's tested and ready to be used. Since it's basically a native Tracker node with some extra buttons (really nothing more), there is no performance loss in using this as your default Fusion 2D Tracker. It's just a little more convenient :)

Feel free to give feedback and let me know if you find any bugs.

To install, download the below zip file and extract the contents to go in your Fusion Scripts/Macros directories.

Enjoy!

Great stuff, Pieter. Already using it on a show, will report back any problems. Finally, track one frame without having to run scripts - a godsend! And a reference frame that actually stays put, wonderful.

Thank you for sharing. But track one frame doesn't work on Fu9.

I just tried this in F8 and the step forward or backward buttons don't work. Files were copied to both the program and roaming locations. Any ideas?

Exactly like the path in the zip file?

Scripts should be in /scripts/tool/tracker (I think) - any other path and it fails. They work just fine in Fu8

That was it. "tracker' folder had to be created. The buttons work after that but they don't actually track correctly. The native track buttons work fine on any trackers I add to the node but as soon as I try to step forward or backward they can't track anything. Ensure tracker was selected, engaged, and "selected tracker details" is highlighted.

F8 btw. Thanks for you help!

I had a look at the track one frame stuff in Fusion 9 on Win 10, it seems that the comp Lock and Unlock function are causing some issues, if they are moved to just around the TrackForwardFromCurrentTime() function only it seems to work better but I also seem to be getting a few strange bugs where the tracker just jumps over the frame randomly, then tracks normally again.

I will upload for Second Man to check if I can I get it working properly.

for me it doesnt find the "tool" itself anymore...it seems that fu9 doesnt know from which tool it started the script or the syntax has changed

edit: fusion seem to forget which from which tool the script was executed, if we run the modified script with a right click on the tracker it works :(

CurrentTime is easy to fix will be now comp.CurrentTime

Buttons work but the track gets lost within 5 frames when using single frame buttons. Same tracker using the standard track buttons stays rock solid.
