EXR CAM from Vray

#1

Post by ISOTRON » Wed Nov 12, 2014 2:07 am

There is a Python Script for Nuke, which extract the Cameradata from the Metadata in the EXR Sequenz (rendered with Vray), and build a Cam...
in Nuke u get the MetaFields with "node.metadata()" ,

i print all keys from tool.GetAttrs() , but didnt find a entry called Metadata or similar,
it is possible with Fusion Tools, to write MetaData... should be possible to read them, too ???

It works actually. Connect the loader containing the exrs to a camera's ImageInput. Use this expression to parse the date:

ImageInput.Metadata.yourMetadata

You can figure it out if you have a look at Chad's old comp:

oh, thanks, that helps... saving as macro will be easier ;)
only needs to check, if our "bakery" will do its job on this, too.

...and then I realized that this is the _fuse_ section of the forum. :) My mistake, hehe.
Bake animation works, but the one you have by default won't do all the channels at once.

I have written an update for bake animation that can do multiple animation curves at the same time. It was on vfxpedia. Until that one comes back, you can get it from my site: http://www.bildfehler.de/fx/Bake%20Animation%20(Py).py

This post makes me realize i need to update my site, as we have a bunch of updates on scripts AND a tool that extracts camera data from exr files and a script that connects the selected vray tool to selected 3D Camera.

I'll see if i can upload some updates today or tomorrow.

thanks a lot to all,
the Cam with expression do its job, and the advantage over a script is, that, if the cam in the input image changed, the cam change, too.
But of course a script can be helpfull in some situtation, and i am looking forward to see your implementation as script , sven.

The script does just that, connect the 3D Camera transform inputs to the Vray node output via expressions.
