Introduction:
CGS fractal noise is a fractal noise texture generation tool, the noise can generate a variety of forms, such as fractal, blocky, value, worley, ripples, ridged, cell, wood, marble, cloudy, Perlin, plasma, fluid, fire, flow, caustics and so on. It can also achieve more complex program texture by changing the parameters such as color and shape, and can adjust the speed to achieve dynamic effect.

Version:
Eyeon Fusion 7 or Blackmagic Fusion 7、8、9

System Requirements:
The graphics card supports OpenCL 1.2 (development environment is GTX780)

Installation:
1. Don't release the compressed packet, directly copy the zip file to the following path
Eyeon version: under the eyeon\Fusion\Fuses\ of the shared document. (if you want Fusion6 to support it, please unzip it by yourself and put the Fuse file under this path.)
Blackmagic version: C:\Users\ your name \AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\Fusion\Fuses\.
Or put it under the Fuses folder of the Fusion installation directory.
2. open Fusion and find it under Tools - CGS.

Nice attempt of shameless self promotion (as we used to call it back on laffey..:-))
For the price of 20 bucks, does it come with a non-asian interface?
(The screenshots show some letterings hard to read for the western hemisphere...:-))

Also, does it come with actual shaders?
The images you post show some nice implementation of water like surfaces (i.e. shaders),
while the actual tool screenshots only show off some interesting modifications of the FastNoise tool...?

That looks like more than just the FastNoise to me. Unless there are some features in there I have not explored yet.

Nice looking Fuse. But I would like to see more of it as well (in English if possible) before buying into it.

[EDIT] has this been beta tested by anybody here?

Hi @JUNE - thanks for letting us know of your new development! Can you tell us a little bit more about Fractal Noise? Perhaps show us some more examples?

The Fuse Box is reserved for community based development of Fuses, so I moved this to the Fuses subforum instead. :)

Thanks, I'm going to prepare some tutorials.

I just wanted to say that I have bought and tested this tool and find it absolutely terrific!

A little mini-review:

Fractal Noise adds no less than 20 (!) different noise types, and it's fast. About 5-20 frames per second on my humble laptop in 2K full aperture (2048x1556), depending on noise type and other parameter settings.

It uses OpenCL so make sure your graphics card is up to the task (if it isn't you should probably get a better one anyway...) :)

The UI is slick and uses all the bells and whistles available in Fusion's arsenal to appropriately and properly switch parameters per noise type. Controls like Transform, Rotation and Tint are implemented as global parameters, so you can set all those up nicely and then switch types for some visual fun and exploration.

There are a few small nit-picky things to be found, like how Marble doesn't animate but still has animation controls, or Plasma Offset's slider goes from -1 to 1 while 1 to 1024 would be more sensible. Nothing that can't be easily fixed I'm sure, and this certainly doesn't distract from the fun to be had.

And to top it all off, I haven't managed to crash it once yet! :cheer:

I really can't wait to get some more time on my hands again and put this baby through VolumeFog!

Overall extremely well done, I'm very impressed. A must buy for Fusion Free and Studio, it's the best 20 bucks you can spend on fulfilling all your noisy needs today.

Thanks for this Pieter - I was just waiting until someone had tested it to lay down my double sawbuck. I'm assuming the interface language is translated to english as per SirEdric's question earlier in this thread

"For the price of 20 bucks, does it come with a non-asian interface?

Following @SecondMan's recommendation, I shelled out those 20 bucks as well.
And I must agree. This is really awesome!

When I launched it for the first time though, it was sitting there for about 30 seconds doing nothing
(hmm....maybe communicating secretly with some server? I don't hope so...:-))
but then it really came up to speed. Cool. Really cool.

Now, if June could post those shader-examples as well....:-)

Cheers.

Eric.

A fine choice, @SirEdric :)

Ah interesting. I noticed that first delay as well but then it just came through and it worked beautifully after, so I thought it was some random glitch rather than Fractal Noise.

Hey Guys - I'm not very experienced with Gumroad. I selected "I want this" and paid (I think) with PayPal, I got a response that said "you will be charged $20" and then back to the original Gumroad page, and nothing has arrived in my email inbox as well. Does it take some time to go through? Or did the payment screw up somehow? I don't really want to try again and perhaps pay twice . . .
