Hello everyone,
It is time for an early Christmas gift for the WSL community!
Thanks to Andrew Hazelden, Reactor has the second biggest release ever:
KICK ASS SHADERZ

Look for it in the Reactor Shaders category. [Runs in both Fusion 9 and 16]
Fully documented as only Andrew can do, KAS contains not a pathetic 4 or 5 shaders as promised by some loser on WSL but an eye-popping 24 shaders for you to use, abuse and enjoy.

You haven't explored the power of Fusion's 3D environment until you are playing with models, meshes and full 3D comps AND adding Fusion's powerful shader capability- no stinking 3rd party renderer required, unlike brand X...

To make things extra special, we have included not one but two sample mesh objects for you to try them out with!

Use them as is, or replace the supplied utility maps with your own, or dig in and customize them as you wish.
Resave them and expand your own shader library.

But wait!
There's more!!

if you act now, you not only get all these amazing features, but you can also save your own shaders to a macro and submit them to Reactor; where you can ALSO be one of the lucky few whose shader submissions might just land in the KAS library in future releases.

HOLD ON!!
We'll throw in a WATER SHADER complete with water surface courtesy of SecondMan and Uncharted Territory, as used in Anonymous!

All for the low, low price of Sweet F*ck All!

Godzilla model not included. get yer own.

Andrew Kramer makes shaders for AE.
Andrew Price makes shaders for Blender.
Andrew Hazelden makes shaders for Fusion.
Does anyone see a pattern?

That said these shaders are amazing, and the way they are organized is Incredible,
Thank you: Andrew Hazelden, Andromeda, SecondMan and everyone else who is involved in this wonderful project

Fantastic! Really well done!

Truly terrific, an awesome addition to Reactor and a wonderful gift to the community.

Also a stark reminder that my current home setups are reaching their end of life... :)

Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

When will I ever sleep?!

Thanks for the kind words!
If you find use for my shaders, then it was worth it :)

I'm just blown away at how passionate Andrew was when it came to programming the hell out of the Reactor macro for it. I never could have done it myself; I'm no programmer, just a hack Artist... So a huge thank you to Andrew! He made it possible to put it into Reactor and didn't complain once during weeks of my feature-f*cking to make it all perfect. He just did it with a smile on his face and a cheerful joyful manner... like a little kid on Christmas morning.
I think he enjoyed this more than anything.

Remember, you can create your own shaders, save as a macro and submit to Reactor right within the KAS menu. On regular intervals, I'll go through them and the best shaders go into the next release once we get a worthy amount. I'd like to see that library get huge!

OH... you might notice something about PBR shaders if you look at the menu... that's something for down the road ;)
Enjoy!

Au

@andromeda_girl, @AndrewHazelden This is GREAT! Thanks!
i installed the package and works perfectly on F9! I'm having issues on F16: eve tho I have the SwitchElse Fuse installed it doesn't work. My guess is that OpenCL is involved in that Fuse... Am I right?

@Millolab Are there any messages printed in the Fusion v16 console window? That should give an idea of what the cause of the error is. KickAss ShaderZ was tested on macOS/Linux/Windows so it should work fine in Fu 9 and Fu 16, as well as in Resolve's Fusion page, too.

Hmmm.
@AndrewHazelden can answer that one, I don't think it was a switch else fuse in it though.
Are you trying to replace an environment map or some other image perhaps?
Andrew has that function built in.
