Bug Tracker how-to  [FIXED]

#1

Post by SecondMan » Thu Aug 27, 2015 10:58 pm

Welcome to the (unofficial) Fusion Bug Tracker!

You can find a bit more info about the "why?" of the subforum here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=467

When creating a new topic in the Bug Tracker subforum, it will be pre-filled with the following template:

Fusion version:

OS and version:

Additional relevant system info:

Description of the bug:

Severity (Trivial, Minor, Major, Critical)

Steps to reproduce:

Please, if possible, provide a Fusion setup to help demonstrate the behaviour, either as an attachment or between

Code: Select all

tags:

Please fill in the template as accurate as you can.

This is NOT the official BMD bug tracker, but it can also help create a template that you can copy over to BMDs forum if you want to.

Once the bug has been fixed, you can check the solved icon on the top right hand side of a post, which will then tag the topic with a nice green checkmark. Test it, you can always un-solve the topic. :)

Note: please only put bug reports in the Bug Tracker section. Feature requests and questions on how to use Fusion should be posted in the Fusion subforum.

UPDATE: since it has been confirmed by multiple people at Blackmagic Design that the SL Fusion Bug Tracker is read continuously and taken into account, I've removed the (Unofficial) label from the forum name.

Good times! :)

UPDATE: The bug tracker has been adjusted. When filing a bug report you will now have to assign a ticket category to your report:

Image

There are three categories:

 • Fusion Standalone - pretty self-explanatory
 • Fusion in Resolve - no three guesses there...
 • Fusion and Resolve - for when the bug is confirmed inside both existing flavours of Fusion

Failing to select a category results in the following error...

But if you diligently add them, your efforts will be rewarded with lovely labels:

And added bonus, the forum search allows you to single them all out:

Whizzo! And such tasteful colours . . . you're spoiling us, Pieter.

Maybe it's a Firefox/Linux thing, but I'm not seeing a Category dropdown so I can't create tickets.

Edit: Not showing up under Chromium, either.

Cheers,
Mike
