So, since Resolve does not have Settings > Layout option, there should be some hardcoded value? Or is there an alternative way to get Resolve's window geometry?AndrewHazelden wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 4:12 amThe main window data usually is empty like that IIRC until the Fusion-based artist manually goes to the Fusion Preferences window > Global and Default Settings > Layout preference page and manually saves their active window layout.

Re: [Update] Toolbar for Fusion 16 Viewer
I'm sure there are several ways to get the window geometry information. As always, when doing fun things in scripting the main issue a TD hits up against is sparse documentation, not so much the Fusion FuScript API.

Re: [Update] Toolbar for Fusion 16 Viewer
And hop..
tired of the new interface (even if graphically more pleasant but less understandable and less productive) and angry about the poor performance of Fusion 16 (freeze and very bad cache management) today I switched back to version 9 (same comp no freezes and much more speed)
Just a question:
why do other people like you guys (thank God you are there) have to spend their time (instead of Blackmagic) to create/replace parts of the interface (as plugins or scripts) that already existed before ? Does Blackmagic acquired Fusion for what ? neglect it? Fusion is a wonderful piece of software and it shouldn't be lost in the dark as useless commercial products... What's happening is very sad. Bah

Re: [Update] Toolbar for Fusion 16 Viewer
Honestly, neglect would be better. The first couple of years were great; we lost a few minor things from 7 to 9, but the tradeoffs were more than worth it. Since then, though, with the integration into Resolve and the release of 16, we've seen mostly regression. I still have some hope that we'll get back most of what we've lost. That hope dies a little with each release that sees no UI improvement, though.

Exactly Bryan, this seems a countdown of non-improvements of the already existing features and each release has each time less notes..

Hey, here's another update for Toolbar 16
https://gitlab.com/WeSuckLess/Reactor/m ... quests/113

https://gitlab.com/WeSuckLess/Reactor/m ... quests/113
- add more toolbars button in preferences
- add close preferences button
- add initial window offset based on left viewer window size
- add optional launch on mouse position
if you need to launch the tool at custom position, first set prefs to launch at mouse pos, restart the script
then open tool preferences and set Save Position
- add Fusion9 style View Bar with 5 simple layout presets
- click Add Toolbars! button to launch Customize Toolbars dialogue

@annatronci
hm, probably something from previous version prefs.
Try open prefs with right triangle and press "reset prefs". Next time it should pop in the middle
Also make sure you have grabbed your window dimensions (file--preferences--global--Layout--Grab program layout)
