I really wanted it to be ready for a first release before the long weekend started, but life is hectic and rather bizarre right now so screw schedules, really. I do hope to still turn Good Friday into Excellent Friday for some of you

For those who are not aware of what Sprut is, Sprut is a set of tools for 2D fluid simulations. It was originally developed by Theodor Groeneboom for Nuke. This last January I finally started figuring out how it was built and porting it to Fusion. It's been my little late-night-twiddle project since, and I'm happy to release the first public version today.
Documentation is in progress as part of my ongoing development, no ETA though. However, as part of the release I also included the comp that created this lovely render:
The comp itself has a quick-start guide and a high level explanation of the individual tools in the package.

I intend to release more demos and tutorials, especially when I can finally also sit down and use Sprut myself, rather than build it

GOOD-TO-KNOWS and DISCLAIMERS
- Sprut2 is a work in progress and I'm not quite done. The UI may change, parameter names may change, I may add some more features but equally remove some, too.
- Sprut2 is not built for speed. Like the original Sprut for Nuke, it is built with standard Fusion nodes (plus a Switch Fuse) which makes it completely open for learning and tweaking.
- There are a couple of features in Sprut that I have not yet fully tested. Most of those are in the Tweaks tab, especially under "Here Be Dragons".
- I have not tested Sprut in Resolve at all. I'm sure a few of you will

- Sprut2 has been developed in Fusion Studio 16 and that is the platform of choice going forward. Currently it should also work fine in Fusion 9, including Fusion 9 Free, but that it will stay that way I do not guarantee (I made a little poem there, did you notice?).
I'm going to stop writing now, publish this post and grab a well-deserved homebrew. Up to you next, have a play with it and give it something to do. Set some parameters, let it render overnight and if you've made something really pretty, come share it please!
Enjoy, and be safe!
