Derive Spline handles from easing equations

#1

Post by SirEdric » Wed May 30, 2018 9:31 am

Hi Folks. Me again...:-)

The easeIn/easeOut of Fusion's Animation Splines is mainly controlled via Handles (left & right handle as in the KeyFrames table).
There are a couple of built in ease functions, but what if I would like to roll my own?
(Or copy from the web, as in this example: https://github.com/EmmanuelOga/easing/b ... easing.lua)

Is there any way to calculate the Handles of the keyframes?
I do not want to bake the entire animation frame by frame, I still need the original keyframes.

Cheers & all the best.

Eric.

Just to answer my own question, this script won't keep the handles, but it applies all the nice easing functions...:-)
