Find and frame single tool via script

#1

Post by Movalex » Sat Feb 02, 2019 1:01 pm

Hey!
Is there a solution to find and frame single tool the same way we do with CTRL+F on active tool, but with a script?
Currently comp.SetActiveTool shows the tool in the flow, but not in the center. Instead it should be perfectly centered, like the result of Find Tools operation on the screenshot.

I thought Composition:FindTool() was going to do what you are looking for, but it seems to add nodes instead... ?

Unfortunately it just literally finds the tool by the name, so we can assign it to a variable and do some stuff with it. It has no connection with flow position.
However we can query flow.GetPosTable(tool), but that does not help either. I wonder if tool focus is possible with Fusion SDK...
