Clone Stamp

Post by bowserlm » Fri Jun 07, 2019 11:56 am

Trying to understand all the features of working with the Clone Stamp --

I understand you can hold O to see your Overlay and use the arrow keys to nudge the offset, but is there a way to lock that offset so that movements from the tablet don't move it? I'm trying to do some precise cloning that needs to be perfectly constrained on either the X or Y axis, but as soon as I got to paint just by moving the tablet it slightly offsets where I've positioned my stamp with the arrow keys.

How slightly is slightly?

Do you have Snap Offset turned on'? If you have, the Offset would snap to the nearest whole pixel, so if you are working with very fine detail this could be noticeable.
