[Fu16b4] Crash when using extremely large image buffer

Fusion version:

Fusion 16.0 beta 28 build 28

OS and version:

macOS 10.14.5

Additional relevant system info:

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

Description of the bug:

Fusion crashes when working with extremely large images, whether imported or generated internally. I'm sure the threshold where it crashes hardware dependent. Fusion 9 does not have this problem.

Note that I discovered this problem only when trying to Blur the fairly large (about 16k) image with the clip mode set to Domain. I'm not sure why Domain would use more memory than Frame (seems like its should be the opposite).

Severity (Trivial, Minor, Major, Critical)


Steps to reproduce:

Create a Background node.
Set its size to something very large (30,000 x 30,000)
Instant crash on my machine.

Please, if possible, provide a Fusion setup to help demonstrate the behaviour, either as an attachment or between [code] tags:

If it works in Fu9 but not in Fu16, my first thought is always GPU.

Try disabling GPU rendering and see if that helps? Not that it makes the bug any less critical...
