Echo Fuse

#1

Post by danell » Wed Nov 27, 2019 10:20 am

Echo is a fuse a bit like the Trails node but it self catches the frames so there is no need to do any playback before.
Echo also have some more advanced features like seeing subframes, the posibility for each echo to have its own pivot and start/end frames.

Changelog:
v1.1 - 2020-01-16:
* Now ~5 times faster!
* Amount of subframes are now frame-based calculated, meaning you can animate the subframes where it's needed without increasing the subframes everywhere
* Fixed first frame in echo missing
* Changed the default Echo Gamma from 2.2 to 1

v0.1 - 2019-11-27:
* First release!

I have been expecting you :)

Congratulations on your first submission! Echo is available in Reactor now :cheer:

I've made two small changes to your submission. One is that Fusion's directory for Fuses is not Fuse, but Fuses. I also matched the directory structure to the tool category (something I really recommend doing), so the Fuse resides in Fuses/Effect/Echo.fuse.

Other than that. flawless and a great looking tool! Thanks for sharing!

Attached the updated atom for your reference.

Update time @SecondMan !

* Fixed first frame in echo missing
* Changed the default Echo Gamma from 2.2 to 1
:banana:

I added the new version to the first post so that one is always the latest version and not lost in the thread. I hope that's ok.

Hey, I see your tool very useful. It's great, thanks for your input. It reminds me of this NK node and I wondered if it would work for cleaning. I attach two referred videos

Interesting technic indeed.
I would say that Echo can't do that but it shouldn't be too hard to create a tool like the FrameBlend node.
The only thing I don't know from the top of my head is how the Forground matte is working. Any ideas?

Echo v1.1 is submitted!

@eliottgaumont - FrameBlend is basically the Average node in Fusion. There is also a more advanced Average node available in Krokodove.

If that doesn't suit your needs, please may you open a separate topic? Thanks!

It will not be necessary to open a new thread, my doubts are cleared. Thank you
