Studio 16 Mac. Console can't find help file.

My Console is constantly nagging that it can't locate the help file in the expected folder.

/Applications/Blackmagic Fusion 16/Fusion.app/Contents/MacOS/../Resources/Fusion/Help/Fusion 16 Manual.pdf

I'd like feed it's desire so it can stop bothering me.
But what does the "/../" mean in the path?
Where should I locate the file?

Hi @JimbobVFX. :)

1) "/../" translates in UNIX filepath speak as moving down one folder lower than the current directory. This would move you from being inside the folder "MacOS":
/Applications/Blackmagic Fusion 16/Fusion.app/Contents/MacOS/

And push you down one level in the hierarchy to the folder:
/Applications/Blackmagic Fusion 16/Fusion.app/Contents/

Then the rest of the filepath text you see of "/Resources/Fusion/Help/" that comes after the "'/../" would place you into the final folder:
/Applications/Blackmagic Fusion 16/Fusion.app/Contents/Resources/Fusion/Help/

2) To stop seeing the error you pasted from the Console, it looks to me that Fusion wants you to grab the PDF file that is on disk at:
Applications/Blackmagic Fusion 16/Fusion 16 Manual.pdf

And for some reason, your copy of Fusion v16.x is looking for the PDF file to exist at:
/Applications/Blackmagic Fusion 16/Fusion.app/Contents/Resources/Fusion/Help/Fusion 16 Manual.pdf

That said, I'm running Fusion Studio v16.2.3 on macOS Catalina 10.15.5, and I don't get the same error message you do. And that "Help" sub-folder on my system only has a single file in it which is the "Fusion.helpmap" file. :|

3) To go inside a ".app" package on macOS, you need to right-click on the "Fusion.app" file, and select the contextual menu item "Show Package Contents".

Ha funny. I just happened to have switched to another machine on Cataline (I was on Mojave) and now the error has gone.
