Mix Automation
The Fairlight page provides straightforward, flexible, and powerful automation capabilities for audio mixing. Automation data can
be created graphically by drawing automation changes, or by recording the movement of on screen mixer or effects controls, using the mouse or a Fairlight control surface with physical controls. Once recorded, mix parameter automation for any control type—faders or sends, panning, or effects—can be played back in perfect sync with the audio on the timeline.
The Fairlight page is designed to allow the operator to automate every static and dynamic parameter change you make in the process of balancing the mix of tracks in the timeline. Mixer automation
can be drawn graphically or recorded for one or multiple parameters or channels at a time. More adjustments may be added with each automation recording pass, letting you build complex and detailed mixes that can be frame-accurately replayed at will.
